Chima Ugwuanyi is a fine art photographer and digital artist born in Enugu State, Nigeria, where he completed a B.Eng. in Computer Engineering in 2016. His multidisciplinary practice explores identity, culture, memory, and the relationship between reality and imagination.
Ugwuanyi combines photography with digital painting and contemporary image-manipulation techniques, transforming everyday subjects into narratives that invite viewers to look beyond the visible. His background in technology shapes his creative process, using digital tools not just as instruments but as a creative language bridging photographic representation and digitally constructed realities.
His recent work Passport has gained international recognition: selection for Wings, Birds and Flights (No. 35 Gallery, 2026), and inclusion in 101 Contemporary Artists and More (October 2026).
Now based in the United Kingdom, Ugwuanyi continues developing a practice connecting cultural identity, technology, and imaginative visual storytelling.
